How companies and investors can escape the death spiral

Pointing out the obvious here, but 2018 was a lost year for many junior exploration companies. We have seen a tremendous slow down in money being raised. The general retail investor, as well as the brokers and institutions were distracted and busy on other fronts.

Looking at the past 12 months, our own Oreninc Index marked the lowest scores since we started recording our data back in January 2011 – including 2015. There was simply no interest in the sector.
Companies have been caught between a rock and a hard place. Trying to raise accretive amounts of capital was difficult. Investors had to be incentivised with either a big discount, a juicy warrant or both. It was a rare to see any financings without such incentives.

So how do companies escape, and investors avoid the death spiral?

Why it's Important: We will be looking back at 2018 and will point out some emerging trends to help you identify viable and worthwhile opportunities in this sector for the next 12 months.

The investment opportunity: By looking at the flows of capital worldwide, we will help you narrow down your investment choices tremendously. Does 2019 mark the year of a turnaround in the mining sector?

Don’t Miss Out: Meet us at the first mining conference of 2019 and walk away with some knowledge that will help you make better investment decisions. It can be that easy sometimes. Register for VRIC before it's too late.
